About the Role

You will lead exciting and socially critical development and implementation projects related to the future electricity system. The projects often cover the entire chain from preliminary studies to implementation and usually have a clear IT connection, where business-oriented IT solutions are developed and introduced to support operational activities. This involves handling new technical challenges, changing requirements, complexity, and digitalization – while ensuring continued very high operational security.

You are responsible for driving projects forward towards set goals within time and budget, leading project organizations, and reporting to steering and management groups. You will have contacts with internal and external stakeholders, both nationally and internationally. The assignments vary in scope and complexity, and may also include other types of business development projects within the division's area of responsibility. As a Senior Project Manager, you will in larger extent lead projects with high complexity and strategic significance, while contributing experience and perspectives to the unit's and the organization's continued development.

You will belong to the Unit for Operations Project Management, which today consists of eleven engaged employees of different ages and with an even gender distribution. We staff our projects with project managers and complement as needed with change managers, assignment managers, administrators, and schedulers.

On the System Division, we work on developing and operating the Swedish power system. We ensure that electricity can be transferred safely and efficiently through the transmission grid and that the balance between production and consumption is maintained every second. We are a key player in the energy transition and create the prerequisites for a robust and secure electricity system. We are looking for you who are result-oriented and have the ability to drive projects forward towards set goals. You create engagement and ensure that deliveries are made according to schedule and budget frameworks. You have a strong analytical ability that enables you to identify risks, handle priorities, and make well-founded decisions even in complex situations. The role requires you to be collaborative and able to build good relationships with project resources and stakeholders to achieve common goals. Furthermore, you are structured and work methodically with planning, follow-up, and documentation to create clarity and security in all phases of the project.

Education:

• An academic degree in engineering, IT, or economics, or equivalent competence deemed relevant by Svenska kraftnät.
• Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
• Experience leading development and/or implementation projects, including responsibility for delivery regarding time, cost, and results.
• Experience implementing business-oriented IT solutions.

We are looking for you who have experience of project management at a level corresponding to:

• Project Manager: At least four (4) years of project management experience, of which at least two (2) years in projects with large scope, complexity, and responsibility. OR
• Senior Project Manager: At least eight (8) years of experience, of which at least five (5) years in projects with large scope, complexity, budget, and responsibility, and experience acting at a strategic level.

Meritorious Qualifications

• Experience of project management in operations closely linked to operations and maintenance, preferably within critical infrastructure.
• Experience working with SCADA/EMS systems.
• Experience working in security-classified operations or with special security requirements.
• Work experience from the energy sector, including good understanding of the Nordic power system's structure and operation.
• Experience of change management in larger organizations and/or implementation of regulations.
• Certification in project management (IPMA, PMI, or equivalent).
